2. Description of Service

MiaCortex is an AI-powered educational platform that helps users learn Python Data Structures & Algorithms through the Socratic method. The Service includes:

  • AI tutoring conversations powered by Google Gemini
  • Integrated code editor with in-browser Python execution
  • AI-generated practice problems across 8 DSA topics
  • Algorithm visualization and concept mind maps
  • User accounts with progress tracking

3. User Accounts

  • You may use basic features without creating an account.
  • Account creation requires a valid email address and password.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the AI models
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service excessively
  • Submit malicious code designed to damage or exploit the platform
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the AI tutor to generate solutions for academic dishonesty (submitting AI-generated code as your own work in graded assignments without disclosure)
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or usage restrictions

5. Intellectual Property

  • Your Code: You retain ownership of the code you write using the Service.
  • AI-Generated Content: Problem descriptions, hints, and analysis generated by the AI are provided for your educational use. You may use them for personal learning.
  • Platform: The MiaCortex platform, including its design, source code, and AI integrations, is the intellectual property of MiaCortex.

6. AI Disclaimer

MiaCortex uses AI (Google Gemini) to provide tutoring and generate content. Please note:

  • AI responses may not always be accurate or complete.
  • The AI tutor is a learning aid, not a replacement for formal education.
  • AI-generated problems and solutions should be verified independently.
  • We continuously improve AI quality but cannot guarantee perfection.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MiaCortex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms. You may discontinue use at any time. Upon termination, you may request export of your data by contacting us.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
